The European Space Agency is proud to announce the third edition of the 'Spin Your Thesis!' programme. Through this programme, several teams of university students will be given the opportunity to carry out hypergravity experiments using the Large Diameter Centrifuge facility in ESTEC, the Netherlands. 'Spin Your Thesis!' calls students to design and develop a scientific or technology experiment that have need of hypergravity (between 1 and 20 times Earth's gravity) for a few hours or days, as part of their syllabus. The deadline to submit the experiment proposals is 12 December 2011. Up to four teams will be selected to perform their experiment during ESA's Spin Your Thesis! 2012 campaign in September-October 2012. During the 'Spin Your Thesis!' project, the teams will be supported by ESA's Education Office, ESA hypergravity experts and members of the European Low Gravity Research Association (ELGRA). ESA will offer financial support to cover part of the cost of the experiments, travel and accommodation. All the information for this programme can be found on www.esa.int/education. For any further information, please do no hesitate to contact us through the e-mail spinyourthesis@esa.int.
